We love Instagram and making lists, so what gives?
The fact that we look at our phones more often than look at our parents kinda answers the question we indirectly asked in the heading.
But still, if there is any doubt in this theory, we’ve made up a pretty detailed list of why Instagram is becoming an increasingly popular medium, especially for quick shoppers to buy accessories.
But to give you a clearer idea, we’ve divided the list into 2 parts, to help you articulate your thoughts:
Because unlike clothes, accessories are more trusting to buy in terms of size. Unlike clothes, here sizes are not always so specific especially when it comes to necklaces, brooches, embroidered patches or even bracelets.
More often than not when accessories ordered online arrive at your home they are always so well packed in tiny boxes or cute little pouches. We love things that are packaged well.
Duh. Because even without people, accessories always look good when photographed in a variety of settings.
Because Instagram capitalizes on your short attention span:
Didn’t understand? The fact that we’re part of the ‘fast generation’ means we prefer to do things very quickly; whether it is checking emails or shopping. It can’t get quicker than Instagram, with a few clicks and scrolling you up on the page of your favorite brand in seconds. Plus, if you like something off a photo, each brand has their web address in their bio, enabling to further hurry your buying directly from your phone.
Since Instagram is only a phone-based application, it can only be accessed by the device that is handiest to you which is ALWAYS your phone. We have our phones wherever we go, whether it’s a quick run to our nearest coffee shop, the mall or waiting for your Uber. You’re never without your phone.
Options of Many Pictures:
Our favorite one yet. Most websites only have the same pictures of the accessory in different angles. Here’s where Instagram is the game changer. Being a photo-sharing app not only do they put multiple pictures of the same accessory in different angles but also in different settings! Plus, the beauty of Instagram is an option of ‘tagging’ and ‘reposting’. Oftentimes when a customer buys an accessory, takes a picture of it and posts it on Instagram, she tags the brand. When the brand gets an alert, they often repost the pictures of their customers wearing their products. For first time buyers, it’s the best way to judge how the accessory will look on you!
So there you have it. Asked and answered.
